Seven (7) Principles of Needy Children Program
- Best interest of the Child and ensure child-developmental initiatives like a good father;
- Right to life, survival and development;
- Non-discrimination in giving child interventions and working with community-beneficiaries, donors, sponsors, partners and volunteers;
- Right to child participation and value children’s inputs on child-programming;
- Mobilize the “Community of Help” to rescue and save the Street Children, needy IP- Children, less fortunate little kids and children affected by various disasters;
- Saving the Children from Poverty in Jesus’ name; and,
- Batang Star mission works complements the efforts and endeavors of NGO-community, ministry groups, Body of Christ and the local government units / national government agencies.
Seven (7) Core Programs
Over the years, since January 7, 2014, these has been the products of serving the street children and needy kids of our society for 10 years now (2024), the seven (7) core programs. These are the core program focused of the organization. It means that when you hear about street children outreaches it mainly refers to Batang Star Philippines, Inc. (BATANG STAR) Ministry Foundation. With humbleness in our heart, Batang Star is known to be the “Authority” when it comes to passionately reaching-out and ministering to street children and neediest kids of our communities both in urban and rural poor. We are not driven by employer’s demand, not driven by the required reports or required office hours of service in a day, yet Batang Star passionately do these things with joy for it is integral in our system that these are about the “precious lives of the needy little ones”, and in complementary with the concerned government agencies with the support of our partners and stakeholders from all walks of life. Modesty aside, our very own Founder & CEO is a street child himself, his experiences from being a street child to transformation to being a highly technical professional, applied his rich expertise on street children programming. In fact, he is a full-time volunteer-servant to this organization for God’s glory alone.
1. Walking With Street Children Program (WWSC Program)
A movement to find, reach-out and get in touch with the beneficiary-children on the streets. This is to instill good values to street kids, to inform and introduce them to the organization’s mission, outreach programs and education assistance, and how its interventions are accessible and beneficial for their futures.
2. Street Children Sponsorship Program (SCS Program)
The next step: After the regular feeding outreaches, values and spiritual formations, once the street kids themselves professed to willingly finish formal education, it is time for Batang Star Philippines to enroll them to SCS Program and look for committed generous sponsors. Moreover, regular sponsorships developmental efforts like education, health, training, materials and other services are provided to them. This opens Sponsor – Sponsored Street Child’s Relationship building via child letter, scheduled video call or face-to-face sponsor’s visit to the street kid.
3. Children-In-Poverty Assistance Program (CiPA Program)
This program focuses on the less fortunate little children living in dire situations and communities. Similar to the SCS program, sponsorships are given to these needy children so that they can receive appropriate assistance and finish formal education.
6. Needy Youth Development & Resiliency Program (NYDR Program)
Focused on integrating and re-integrating the youth who have committed acts that conflict with the law and other education needy youth. This intervention acknowledges the nature of such acts as desperate attempts to escape poverty, and a sympathetic ear, and a wise voice is crucial in shaping their lives. This inclusion will allow them to continue living resiliently through the Batang Star’s support and dedication to the betterment of their lives.
4. Bayanihan Relief Operations (BRO Program)
This is an emergency and humanitarian response intervention to rescue and save the disaster-calamity victim-children and their families anywhere in the Philippines. Aside from giving relief goods, safe drinking water, foods, clothes, household essentials, family needs, counselling and psychosocial support services (PSS) program is also conducted at the evacuation centers that aims to bring back the disaster-victim children to normalcy and prevent negative behaviours it may cause due to devastating disasters occured.
5. Indigenous People-Children’s Welfare Program (IP-ChildWel Program)
This program focuses on the indigenous children who lack access to basic services and privileges including access to safe water, healthcare, education, nutrition, clothing, etc. This program aims to distribute these privileges through actions such as providing communal comfort rooms, water facilities, etc.
7. Volunteerism for Humanity Program (V4Human Program)
This program aims to encourage volunteerism as everyone is merely a volunteer under God’s grace and direction. This ensures the organization’s sustainable actions and existence in making a positive impact to the lives of its beneficiaries and their families, as well as these Batang Star Volunteers may gain numerous life-changing lessons through the “embrace the experience” in the humanitarian field.

Batang Star Partnership to Stakeholders is guided by the following seven (7) principles:
1• Is founded on our identity and expertise in helping the needy children and disaster humanitarian assistance.
2• Seeks to be mutually respectful and beneficial partners’ relationships alongside with our trust and integrity.
3• Accepts mutual responsibility and commitment on shared vision, mission and goals of reaching out the less fortunate little children under Batang Star Philippines programs.
4• Demonstrates our accountable and stewardship of all the resources entrusted to Batang Star with proper documentations, progress reports and financial liquidations.
5• Attains visible outcome-based results to save the Needy Children from poverty amidst its long-time approach of providing “life-saving and life-changing” efforts.
6• Makes sure that every intervention and assistance will result to excellence and real transformation of the needy children with out “life-saving and life-changing” interventions by God’s grace.
7• Scrutinizes the committed cash donations are not tainted with funds of terrorism, illegal drugs and evil money. We appreciate their generosity for we really need fundings to materialize all our programs, projects and activities (PPA’s), but, we highly value dignity of Batang Star over dirty money.
