About our Chairperson – Honorary Ministry Board Chair
Madam Isidra D. Pacquiao was a product of a very poor family. During her very young age, she experienced many difficulties in life but she remains to be steadfast and courageous to survive life at all cost for her Pacquiao Family. In the good light, despite poverty situation they were in on those times, her parents “Papa Iyok” and “Mommy D” Pacquiao, strived harder for their family’s survival. And, at the same time, her younger brother Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao was also assisting their family by working in construction sites and at the same time doing the boxing training the hardest ways possible.
One day, the boxing career of her younger brother Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao became the only man of the universe to hold the eight (8) different titles in the World Boxing Industry. With that boxing wins, boxer Manny is recognized as the world’s renowned “Boxing Champ” of all times.
Since the start of the boxing career of her brother, the humble beginnings, Madam Isidra was on the closed-side of Manny. She was the one who took care of him. She used to cook foods for Manny. She made sure to prepare delicious and healthy foods for Manny, during Manny’s trainings. She used to was his clothes and accompany Manny in their house while Mommy D was staying in a nearby house at Barangay Labangal, General Santos City. She provided life support to his brother, the then single guy, Manny in whatever capacity she could ever have had.
Today, that said poorest guy of poverty situation is now known as Honorable Senator Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao, aside from being the 8th Division World Boxing Champion. Moreover, the entire Filipinos called him “People’s Champ” or in-short, PacMan. Coming from being so famous, some people would take advantage of his situation, to that effects, Manny was challenged by temptations and vices of the world.
In God’s time, her brother Manny Pacquiao surrendered his life to God and received Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. Pacman became a born-again Christian man. He changed from glory to glory for the Lord. He built a born again Christian Church using his own money together with Jinkee Pacquiao.
Sa kabut-an sa Ginoo sa kinabuhi ni Mr. Manny, si Manny nag-sangyaw gyud sa pulong sa Ginoo mahitungod sa “Good News of the Gospel of Jesus”. Gi-sangyaw ni Mr. Manny sa iyang pamilya si Jesus Christ, na ang iyang mga igsuon na sila Madam Isidra, Congressman Bobby, Governor Rogelio, Papa Iyok, Mommy D ug uban pa na dawaton si Hesus sa ilang tagsa-tagsa kinabuhi bilang ilahang Ginoo ug personal nilang Mangluluwas. Ang pag-ampo ni Senator Manny na biyaan na ang daang kinaiya ug dawaton ang mga kinaiya na gitudlo sa Bibliya. Ang kanindut silang tanan na nahimong bag-o atubangan sa Ginoo. Sama kang Madam Isidra, siya nagbag-o kaayo ug iyang gikinabuhi ang mga maayong tudlo ug maayong pamatasan na ginatudlo sa Bibliya sa Diyos.
Meanwhile, as a result of their family’s efforts and hard-works, Madam Isidra, her younger brother Congressman Bobby Pacquiao and youngest brother Governor Rogelio “Roel” Pacquiao (Sarangani Province) have been blessed by God in their respective lives in many ways. With her Batang Star Ministry initiatives, Madam Isidra is also forever grateful to the timeless supportive and generous in-laws: former Vice-Governor Jinkee, GenSan City Mayor Lorelie and First Lady Jobelle.
Since 2022, Madam Isidra Pacquiao has been serving Batang Star Philippines, Inc. (BATANG STAR) as its Ministry Board Chair. She willingly initiated small ways of raising funds for the Batang Star Ministry to help and save the street children and the needy IP-Tribal kids.
As a matter of fact, Madam Isidra had her birthday celebrations with the street kids and needy tribal children with her prepared Jollibee Foods, Mascots, toys and distribution of 3 kilos of rice and canned goods per street child’s family to 300 less fortunate children-beneficiaries of Batang Star Philippines.
Batang Star Family is blessed with the goodness and leadership of Madam Isidra. Madam Isidra ay bumalik ulit sa pagtulong at pag-abot ng tulong sa mga mahihirap. Indeed, Madam Isidra is a good leader. She knows how to manage and organize the ministry works and community outreaches with the team of volunteers. Batang Star appreciates her excellent leadership in running this Foundation – Batang Star for God’s glory.
OUR MINISTRY BOARD’S STORY
Modesty aside, Madam Isidra Pacquiao is really gifted by God with material and relationship blessings vis-a-vis the help of her younger brothers Senator Manny Pacquiao, Cong. Bobby and Gov. Roel. Inspite of these, she remains humble and gets back to the poor communities and needy streets, to help the less fortunate little children of our society.
With her role as Ministry Board Chair, during her early stage at Batang Star, the ministry officers and volunteers were so amazed of her very initiative to raise funds for the street kids. That time, she had not yet underwent the “formal training on the roles of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of Batang Star, but because of her intelligence and dedication, it seems she knew already the roles of being Board Officer of a certain Foundation. The main role of the Board Members are: Policy Making Body and Fund Sourcing to support the ministry outreaches of the Ministry Foundation. Indeed, at the very first week of her appointment as Ministry Board Chair of Batang Star last 2022, she already ran her own little fund-raising efforts by inviting her friends to support the street kids outreaches programs of Batang Star Philippines, Inc.
Batang Star is grateful to Madam Isidra for choosing to honor and serve Jesus Christ in Batang Star Philippines, Inc. (BATANG STAR). With her life, service and leadership, Batang Star can truly reach out more needy children in poverty situations. We thank God for everthing!
HER LEADERSHIP SKILLS & SUPPORT
Madam Isidra Pacquiao as Ministry Board Chair demonstrates exemplary leadership skills in guiding the rest of the Batang Star leaders, officials and volunteers on what to do best to reach out to more less fortunate little children in our communities, society in general. She offers her voluntary service and volunteerism-leadership works for the good of this Foundation – Batang Star Philippines, Inc. and for the best interest of the needy child and children.
SHE ACTS TO SAVE THE NEEDY KIDS
Madam Isidra Pacquiao is seen by the community-beneficiaries of Batang Star, not just as “gracer and leave activity style”. She stays in the entire event and community initiatives of Batang Star. While being at the community endeavours, she personally and voluntarily assist and help facilitate the program activities.
HER INITIATIVES TO RAISE FUNDS
Madam Isidra Pacquiao voluntarily understands the various needs of street children, needy IP-Tribal kids and the ministry operation concerns of Batang Star. Batang Star Leadership as a whole is blessed and touched by the personal efforts and initiatives of Madam Pacquiao in gathering support with her supportive and generous friends. She knows how to raise funds for the Foundation – Batang Star for the purpose of helping and saving more poorest-of-the-poor kids.
