Once the street children and street dwellers have successfully graduated the Walking With Street Children (WWSC Program), Batang Star will look for regular sponsors to sponsor the certain number of street children or one street kid per sponsor, which will send the street kid/s to the formal education system and the Batang Star 10-year well-designed child development interventions for street kids and needy IP-tribal children. The sponsored street children (SSC) will be enrolled to formal education and shall receive regular school monitoring, community visits, street visits, family visits and teacher’s dialogue to ensure that the sponsored-street child is religiously valuing the sponsorship opportunity. Batang Star shall monitor the daily and weekly development and progress of the schooling street children powered by the Sponsors. With this SCS Program, they will be provided with the school fees, school supplies, school uniform, school projects, feeding program, dental assistance, medical support, weekly values formation at Batang Star Learning Center, community services, orchestra music training, sports clinic, beatbox music training, dance and singing workshops,street children’s counseling sessions and street children’s families counseling,and regular meeting with child carers/ guardians / relatives / parents of the street kids for empowering them to become responsible in raising the street kids until they graduate in their education in elementary, junior high school, senior high school and college education.
Steps of Street Child Sponsorship
- You can commit to one street child or more. You can choose to select your street child you desired to regularly sponsor or have the Batang Star assign you to one.
- Your monthly cash donation or sponsorship support of ₱450.00 will give your sponsored street child/children the opportunity to access the child’s right protection, life-changing benefits, health and medical care, child development session, God-centered values formation, fundamental life skills and job training even before their formal education’s graduation.
- With your sponsorship, Batang Star is committed to ensure Street Child Development. You as a sponsor, you can experience and witness your firsthand impact to a street child’s life through exchanges of child letters, photos, and regular progress reports. Batang Star can also arrange a sponsor’s visit to the sponsored-street child and her/his family members.
- This gives and establishes the “Sponsor and Sponsored-street child” relationship.
